Synopsis: The 1990s. As Iraqis struggle to survive the war and food shortages, Saddam Hussein demands that every school in the country bake a cake to celebrate his birthday. Nine-year-old Lamia is entrusted with this daunting task. Against a backdrop of crushing poverty, she embarks on a journey from the countryside to the city, desperately searching for the ingredients needed for the President’s cake.
