CLUB 35

One Thursday a month, Palace offers a "classic film" to see or re-see on the big screen.

Under contract to Paramount in 1957, John Sturges was forced to shoot "Gunfight at the O.K. Corral" in VistaVision, while all the other majors were moving towards wider formats such as CinemaScope. Of all the processes, VistaVision is far superior, offering directors an exceptionally deep, high-definition scenic space. John Sturges will be in the same league as Hitchcock, for example, and will exploit the process masterfully. In full Technicolor.

The film will be preceded by a short Paramount preview, just as it was back in the day!
