Synopsis : It is easy to get to the dusty little Mexican town of Las Piedras. It is not so easy to leave. Many have come from far away in search of work, only to succumb to boredom and misery, worn down by the heat, the insects, and the local bootleg alcohol. The American oil company that rules this poor region doesn’t have jobs for everyone. But an opportunity arises when a fire breaks out at one of the company’s oil wells located 500 kilometers away.
