ORIGINS OF CINEMA - EXPOSITION
On the occasion of 130 years of cinema, Palace presents the exhibition Origins of Cinema, retracing the evolution of early projection devices — from the magic lantern to the first Pathé Frères projectors, including the Lumière cinematograph.
The exhibition also explores experiments conducted across the Atlantic with Thomas Edison’s Kinetoscope. Offering an individual viewing experience through a peephole, this device preceded collective projection and illustrates the multiple paths explored at the dawn of cinema.
The experience goes beyond display cases. Several events will allow you to (re)discover the original conditions of film projection, including demonstrations of the Lumière cinematograph and insights into the evolution of image and sound technologies.
