Synopsis : Farah Hatoum, fifty, lives in Nazareth, Galilee. Sahar Khalifeh, a young Palestinian novelist from Ramallah, lives in the occupied West Bank. Both, while very different, are confronted with both the Israeli occupation and the obstacles faced by women in Arab societies. This was the first time a Palestinian director had filmed his own country, within Israel’s pre-1967 borders.
