CLUB 35

One Thursday a month, the Palace proposes a “classic film” to see or re-see on the big screen.

Cinema Palace invites you to rediscover John Boorman’s work for the very first time in Belgium, in a rare original Director Cut version in 35mm Panavision Technicolor prints and immersive sound.

“Hell in the Pacific” is produced by ABC (American Broadcasting Company) and distributed by Cinerama Releasing Corporation. Cinerama was renowned for its emphasis on cinematic spectacle, presenting works on very large screens in theaters equipped with stereophonic sound. We owe the superb Panavision and Technicolor photography to Conrad Hall.

Jean-Pierre Verscheure, curator and specialist in the history of cinema techniques, will present this copy from his personal collection, accompanied by Fabrice Du Welz, Belgian director and screenwriter.
