Palace is delighted to host this year’s opening and closing of the BAFF – Brussels Art Film Festival for its 24rd edition:
12/11 – 19:00 Opening – LA GUITARRA FLAMENCA

Synopsis : After meeting Yerai Cortes, Anton Alvarez becomes infatuated with his talent and intrigue by his family’s history. Yerai is an unusual figure in the flamenco world. Respected not only by the most traditional gypsies, but also by the most avant garde artists. Together they start a musical journey to record an album shaped by profound sorrow. This creative process makes Yerai face his past and allows him to explore a family secret through and attempt to redeem his parents. The result is a movie that takes the audience in a unique musical journey full of passion, love and forgiveness.

Synopsis : A playful and provocative fresco in which the people of Rijeka re-enact the occupation of their city to blast the roots of fascism.
Director Igor Bezinović brings together three hundred locals to restage the surreal 1919 takeover by poet-warrior Gabriele D’Annunzio. Through a feverish mix of archives, performances, and testimonies, the film dismantles nationalist propaganda with humour and sharpness.
