Algeria, June 1955. Khadidja leaves Kabylia to join her older brother Malek in Algiers. Following an altercation at the market, he is arrested by the police, leaving Khadidja all alone. Fortunately, Lyes, Ahmed, and Philippe will do everything in their power to help her find Malek. From the rooftops of the Casbah, the four children lead the investigation.
