GIRLS FOR TOMORROW
Nora Philippe
FR / BE / NL / BG, 99′, 2024, VO FR/EN ST FR
Synopsis : In 2015, with a baby under her arm, director Nora Philippe arrived in New York and discovered Barnard College, a prestigious university for women, in search of allies to renegotiate motherhood and feminism, and to think about the world in which her daughter would grow up. She meets Evy, Lila, Anta and Talia, four committed students who embark with her on an intimate and political journey. Grappling with a decade of American history, marked by the Trump era, MeToo, Black Lives Matter and the climate crisis, they are 30 years old today and represent the faces of resistance.
