THE HAPPIEST MAN IN THE WORLD

You are in a hotel room, among a group of people who have come there to find their soulmate, or love. For a day, in a vacuum, everyone follows the programme of meetings, takes part in the organised games, lifts the veil a little on their own existence, has to look after the other person, whatever the circumstances. And in this place, a secret lurks. The secret of an unimaginable crime… ASJA lives in Sarajevo. She is single. At 40, her biological clock is ticking. She can feel it. So she decides to spend her Saturday in an old hotel where a dating seminar for the lonely hearted is being organised. She meets ZORAN, a 43-year-old Serbian banker. He’s not looking for love, but forgiveness. He is there to meet his first victim of war. In 1993, he was a soldier, a sniper, stationed in the hills. And he shot this young girl he knew nothing about. On ASJA. That Saturday, ASJA and ZORAN both relive their painful past. Should anger and revenge get the better of them? How do you turn the page? How do you live with the war? And does life after war even exist? Is love possible after war? And when does the war end?
