OUR PECA PROJECT - The Adventures of Mickey Mouse

As part of the Cultural and Artistic Education Programme (PECA – Fédération Wallonie-Bruxelles’ cultural and artistic education pathway), Le Palace is offering a cinema trip combined with an in-school workshop for your nursery and primary school classes.

The screening at Le Palace includes a compilation of Mickey Mouse shorts from the 1920s to the 1950s and an in-theatre presentation of the history and development of cinema and the themes explored in the cartoons.

An in-school workshop will be arranged at your convenience in the days following the cinema trip: with the facilitator, your pupils will learn about animation techniques (examining flipbooks and optical illusions) and take part in educational and creative activities. The workshop lasts 1.5 hours and may include a break.

This PECA activity (cinema screening + in-class workshop) is entirely free for students and accompanying adults.
