From 12 April to 23 June 2024, Le Palace presented the *Golden Eighties* exhibition, a series of on-set photographs taken during the filming of Chantal Akerman’s *Golden Eighties*. These photographs, donated by set photographer Jean Ber to the Chantal Akerman Foundation in 2022, offered a unique snapshot of the captivating world of the 1980s.
*Golden Eighties* is a distinctive work in Chantal Akerman’s filmography, revealing a lesser-known side of the director: joyful, vibrant and passionate about popular culture. The photographs, carefully selected in collaboration with the photographer, were presented within an immersive display, evoking the film’s iconic sets and sequences.
